MANSFIELD -- Geraldine McAda, 81, a homemaker, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, at home. Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday in Blessing Colonial Chapel. Interment: Mansfield Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Blessing Funeral Home. Geraldine was born in Hood County on Jan. 6, 1926, the daughter of Walter Henslee and Susie Brady Henslee. She married Samuel Eugene McAda Jr. in Weatherford on June 26, 1948. Geraldine and Samuel co-founded Venus Construction in September 1967. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel; son, Sammy McAda; four brothers; and three sisters. Survivors: Daughter, Sandra Brown and husband, John; daughter-in-law, Natalie McAda; grandchildren, Justin Brown and wife, Wendy, Destiny Brown and husband, Scott, Josh McAda, Samuel McAda and Jake McAda; great-grandchildren, Jaycee, Cole, Tanner, Makenzy, Leah and Leanna; and numerous other relatives and friends.
