?SMITHFIELD -- Gladys Mae Marr, 89, a retired hairdresser, died Thursday, June 22, 2006, at a local care center. ??? Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Smithfield, the Rev. Lawrence Hammond officiating. Bearers of her casket will be her great-grandsons. Burial: Following a committal service, Gladys will be laid to rest in Smithfield Cemetery. Visitation: Gladys will lie in repose Sunday at the funeral home with family receiving friends from 4 to 6 p.m. ??? Gladys Mae was born Aug. 5, 1916, in Madill, Okla., to John E. and Lottie Loreta Everett Grimes. She lived in the Smithfield area of North Richland Hills for many years, operating a beauty shop near her home. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Smithfield. ??? Survivors: Son, Tom Pate and his wife, Buckie; grandchildren, Cindy Green and her husband, Chris, Carolyn Stadtmueller and her husband, Jon, Brenda Cline Solomon, Pam Richardson, Michelle Branum; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Jo Brumbalow; sister, Cathryn Brunson and husband, Gerald; daughter-in-law, Marjorie Pate.
