NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Glen F. Kirkpatrick Sr., 90, a retired construction manager, died Thursday, April 26, 2007. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at Lucas Sylvania Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Visitation: The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Glen was born May 5, 1916, in Frederick, Okla. He grew up in Tillman County, Okla. He served his country proudly and honorably during World War II in the Army Air Corps. He was a 50-year Mason. Glen was a pioneer in the construction of on-site tilt concrete walls. For many years he was the contractor for constructing many of the El Chico Restaurants. One of the great pastimes and passion of his life was bird hunting. Glen was preceded in death by his wife, Dortha, in 1972. Survivors: His son, Glen Kirkpatrick Jr. and his wife, Cathy; grandsons, Philip Kirkpatrick and his wife, Debra, Sean Kirkpatrick and his wife, Jennie; and great-grandchildren, Dustin Carney and his wife, Michelle, Jake Carney, Christina Carney, Sean Forest Kirkpatrick Jr. and Alyse Kirkpatrick.
