Grover Randelle "Cotton" Frasier, 84, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011, at his home. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday in Lucas Funeral Home, 137 E. Hill St., Keller, with Clyde Newby officiating. Interment: Private for family in Laurel Oaks Memorial Park, Mesquite. Visitation: The family will receive friends 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Lucas Keller Funeral Home. Grover Randelle "Cotton" Frasier was born April 22, 1927, in Ferris, into a family of six brothers and five sisters during hard times. He lost his father at a very young age. Despite the hardships of his youth he lived every day of his life to its fullest. He proudly served his country in World War II attached to the troop airborne squadron. He met and married his wife of 38 years, Millie Griffith, in 1948. Together they made their home in Dallas where he worked as a carpenter and later as a truck driver for Kroger, retiring after 35 years. He leaves behind his family of four daughters, two sons, four sons-in law, one daughter-in-law, 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a lifetime of treasured memories. There was always room for one more at the dinner table and the door was always open. Our house was always open. Our house was always full of love, laughter, relatives and friends. The man never met a stranger. He was quick with a smile and generous to a fault. He made doll beds for the children of the Buckner's Children Home every Christmas. He was a member of the Bruton Conner Masonic Lodge for many years. He instilled in his children his love for family and his zest for life. He will be missed. Happy trails to you Dad, until we meet again.
