Harry McArthur

HURST -- Harry G. McArthur, 91, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at a local care facility.        Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, at Bethel Family Worship Center, 946 Pipeline Road, Hurst, with Pastor Elmer Whalen officiating assisted by Pastor William Mathews. Interment: Following a graveside service, Harry will be laid to rest at 2:30 p.m. in Old Union Cemetery, Mount Pleasant. Visitation: Harry will lie in state from noon to 8 p.m. Monday at Lucas Hurst Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m..        Harry Gains McArthur was born in Elida, N.M., June 20, 1918, to James Henry and Laura Frances Ward McArthur. His parents preceded him in death.        His love and generosity to God, family and church is unrivaled.        Survivors: Wife of 61 years, Nell McArthur; daughter, Mollie Nicholson and her husband, Leon; grandchildren, Darren Nicholson and his wife, Zorelly, and Noel Nicholson and his wife, Christine; great-grandchildren, Daniela Carolina Nicholson and Charles Alexander Nicholson; brother-in-law, Dean Harbour; and several nieces and nephews.
