Harry Roberts

Harry was born on Oct. 26, 1934, in Washington, Pa. He moved to Texas in 1947. He was a member of the 3555th Flight Line Maintenance Squadron and received both the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He owned and operated Roberts Performance Center in Grapevine from 1968 through 1988 when he retired. Harry's passion was drag racing. Since his retirement he had enjoyed being at home with his wife and watching his son's drag race. He was also a past member of the Grapevine Rotary Club. Harry was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Harry A. "Al" Roberts II. Survivors: Wife of 33 years, Wanda Roberts of Grapevine; brother, Bill Roberts and wife, Mary of Pennsylvania; daughters, Carol Collum, Donna Roberts, Lodia Roberts; sons, John Roberts and wife, Linda, Gary Roberts and wife, Lisa, Randy Roberts, Billy Roberts and his wife, Amber, Tommy Beggs and his wife, Nelva, Don Beggs and wife, Claudia and Floyd Schreck; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nine nieces; seven nephews; and his four-legged son, Sam.
