EULESS -- Helen Jean Gleghorn, 83, passed away on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Airport Freeway Church of Christ, Euless, with interment to follow in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, Colleyville. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Christ's Haven for Children at christshaven.org. Helen was born on April 23, 1929, to Lloyd and Jessie Cannon. She married Glenn Gleghorn on Dec. 16, 1949, enjoying 63 years together. Helen graduated TWC in 1950 with a bachelor's degree in speech, dedicating her life to teaching for the next 51 years. She began at Euless High School from 1953-1955, then L.D. Bell High School from 1955-1965, Euless Junior High from 1968-1969 and lastly Fort Worth Christian School starting in 1977 and retiring in 2004. She was a valued member of the Euless Historical Society and a member of Airport Freeway Church of Christ for 48 years. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Jessie Cannon, and son, Dr. Thomas Gleghorn. Survivors: She is survived by her husband, Glenn Gleghorn; daughter, Sandra Chamberlain and husband, Noel; brother, Joe Cannon; daughter-in-law, Donna Simons and husband, Brian; grandsons, Chris Lammons, Cody Lammons and Connor Gleghorn; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Madison, Brooklyn, Cannon and Kylye.
