FORT WORTH -- Helen Christine Hatfield, 92, peacefully passed away Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Saturday in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Marshall, Mo. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Huguley Home Health Agency, of Burleson, Phoenix Hospice L.P. of Arlington, or to the Burleson Pregnancy Aid Center. Helen was born Jan. 25, 1917, in Armstrong, Mo. At age 19, she married Leonard Alexander Hatfield. They made their home in Marshall, Mo., for more than 60 years. She was a loving and caring mother to five children. She enjoyed many hobbies that included quilting and gardening. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Marshall, Mo., before relocating to Texas. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Dora Lusby; husband, Leonard; daughters, Shirley Darlene Ward and Joy Ann McDaniel; grandchild, James E. Knox III; two sisters; and three brothers. Survivors: Son, Thomas Hatfield and wife, Jeane; daughters, Linda Johnson and husband, Ronald, Marcia Cook and husband, Charles; son-in-law, M.F. McDaniel; brother, Leon Lusby; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly
