ARLINGTON -- Helen Russell Williams, 79, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 3, 2008, from heart failure while attending a meeting with her beloved Hawkins Cemetery Committee. Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Retta Baptist Church. Burial: Hawkins Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Blessing Funeral Home. Helen grew up in Fort Worth. She married Charles Williams Nov. 28, 1947. They raised their children in the Tate Springs area, where they were members of Tate Springs Baptist Church. She taught school in Arlington for 26 years. Helen and Charles retired to Rendon and joined the Retta community for the past 20 years. She loved her family and friends and was dearly loved by those who knew her. Survivors: Husband of 60 years, Charles Williams; children, Kirby and Linda Williams, Lari and Ross Churman and Shawn and Leigh Williams; grandchildren, Sloan and Sarah, Kase, Colbi, Kaden, Brinkley; great-grandchild, Olivia; brother, Kenneth and wife, Nancy Russell; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Shirley and Hutch Hutherson, Royce and Evelyn Williams; many nieces and nephews.
