Henry Cottle

FORT WORTH -- Henry George Cottle, 93, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010. Funeral: 1 p.m. Friday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Henry was born in Rochelle. He met Ima Pearl in Placid and they were married in 1937. They were married for 61 years until her passing. Henry joined the Navy during World War II and was honorably discharged upon the arrival of his third child. Henry loved to fish and hunt from his early days. He retired from Bank of America in 1983. Henry was preceded in death by his wife, Ima Pearl Cottle. Survivors: Sons, Larry and Freddie Cottle; daughters, Maxie Roberts, Annie Pearl Thommarson; brother, Paul Cottle; sisters, Ruth Eckerd and Odessa Childress; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
