Henry Taylor

Henry G. Taylor Sr., 73, a retired assembly worker for General Motors, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2007, in Arlington. Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield. Burial: Mansfield Cemetery. Visitation: 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Henry was born Sept. 30, 1933, in Chillicothe to Fred Harrison and Silva Taylor. After graduating from Whitharrel High School in 1952, he married Dorothy L. Emmons on April 17, 1953, in Littlefield. He then moved to Arlington in 1955 and later went on to earn an associate degree from TCCC in Fort Worth, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. He is preceded in death by a son, Henry Gene Taylor Jr.; a daughter, Cheryl Anne Miller; his parents; six brothers; and one sister. Survivors: Wife of 54 years, Dorothy Emmons Taylor; sister, Myrtle Grigg; children, Stephen Taylor and wife, Teresa, Karen Wilson and Fred Harrison Taylor and wife, Margaret; grandchildren, Stephanie Wilson, Jonathan Taylor, Amy Maybury, David Wilson, Jennifer Wylie, Justin Taylor, Brian Taylor, Jeffrey Miller, Natassia Stogdill, Megan Stogdill, Ben Taylor, Keith Miller, Paul Ernst, Greg Taylor and Jaclyn Taylor; and eight great-grandchildren.
