Herbert Harder

BEDFORD -- H. Kyle Harder, 62, passed away peacefully Friday, March 23, 2012. Memorial service: in celebration of his life will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst where the family will be present. Memorials: are requested to giving.utexas.edu/ Kyle was born Oct. 4, 1949, in Odessa, to Herbert Clarence and Jane Azbill Harder. He graduated from R.L. Paschal High School and the University of Texas. He was an avid UT Longhorns fan. A love of travel and interest in other cultures took him throughout the world. He was an active member of the Democratic Party and served as a precinct chairman in the Mid-cities. Kyle worked as a senior computer programmer analyst. Survivors: Wife, Dorathy; son, Jesse Harder; stepson, Victor Yap; sister, Sandra Novey and husband, John; brother, Kenneth Harder and wife, Lajuanna; several nieces and nephews.
