Herbert Ruth

Herbert Alexander Ruth was born in Baltimore, MD, January 31, 1916. He was preceded in death by his parents Oliver J. and Sarah Ruth; his wife, Laverne Ruth; his sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Walter Giles; and his brother and sister-in-law Oliver J. and Marie Ruth; and son-in-law Jim Bob Segars. Friends who desire are respectfully invited, rather than flowers, to honor his memory with contributions in his name to your favorite charity. He sold insurance for ANICO and retired after 45 years of service. He resided in Oklahoma City and Houston and then lived in Longview for 47 years before moving closer to his children in Texarkana and Keller. He was a 4th Degree Knight and active in the Knights of Columbus both at St. Anthony's and St. Mary's. He was passionate abut his faith and helping others. He was very devoted to his wife and lovingly cared for her when she became ill. His favorite pastime was playing golf.
