Ilario Garcia

MANSFIELD -- Ilario "Lalo" Garcia passed away Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, in Fort Worth. Lalo was born in Gallop, N.M., on Feb. 2, 1922. He was a 50-year resident of Mansfield and worked for Texas Bronze for over 35 years. Lalo was a man among men and always placed Christ before anything and placed others before himself. You never saw him without a smile and a "God bless you" to everyone he met. We are saddened to see him go but delighted to know that he is in heaven and we will see him again some day. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; five brothers; four sisters; three sons; a son-in-law; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter. Survivors: He leaves behind his wife of nearly 61 years, Frances Garcia of Mansfield; daughters, Sylvia Young of Arlington, Alice Cain of Fort Worth and Lucy Luce of Dublin; son, Peter Garcia of Mansfield; eight sisters; two brothers; 26 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
