Jack Davidson

Type Obit Here  HURST -- Jack Thomas Davidson passed away Monday, Dec. 1, 2010, at the young age of 51 years.        Funeral: 1 p.m. Sunday in Lucas Funeral Home Chapel, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Lucas Funeral Home.        Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Mary Hardin Baylor Cancer Research in Dallas or Tgen Clinical Research in Scottsdale, Ariz.        For five years Jack fought a very courageous battle with cancer. He fought with everything he had until he couldn't fight anymore.        Jack joined the United States Postal Service in 1996 as a postal carrier. He was promoted to area steward in 2004 and on to assistant state steward in 2008. This is where Jack found his true passion, helping those who could not help themselves.        Jack was preceded in death by his father, Joe Davidson, and numerous extended family members.        Survivors: His wife of 31 years, Kris Davidson and son, Jacob Davidson, of Hurst; mother, Vivian Davidson; sister, Christine Brinson; brothers, Fred Davidson, Wayne Davidson and wife, Ginny, Joby Davidson and wife, Molly, John Bush and David Brinson; mother-in-law, Thelma Messick; sister-in-law, Melonie Feltman and husband, John; seven nephews; one niece; and a large extended family including an aunt, Nora Forester, and an uncle, Leonard Pritikin.
