HURST -- Jack Walker passed away Friday, July 11, 2014. Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road. in Hurst. Interment: Van Alstyne. Visitation: The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Jack was an active member of Sagamore Baptist Church for over 60 years and taught Sunday school for over 30 years. He was a longtime resident of Hurst and was an avid golfer. One of the things he was most proud of was his service in the Army Air Corps, where he was selected to teach Morse code. Survivors: Wife, Jacqueline; sons, Mark and Tim Walker; daughters, Dr. Donna Walker, Sandy and her husband, Steve Barnheart; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Smith, Mary Murphree and Jo Gibbs; along with his two nieces.
