James Edwards

An additional memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, at Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home, 601 N. Alleghaney St., Odessa. Inurnment: Following committal service, Jim will be placed to rest with his father, Harold, in Odessa City Cemetery.        James Harold Edwards was born Dec. 26, 1938, in Odessa to Harold and Gwendolyn Nelson Edwards.        Jim was a retired commercial airline pilot, having flown for Braniff Airlines and five other airlines.        He loved his Siberian Husky Dogs and had three of them across the years, naming each of them Stoli. Jim enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and became quite an expert. He was a total fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns football teams.        In addition to his father, Jim was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Ann Edwards.        Survivors: Wife and loving companion, Juanell Edwards; son, Kurt Edwards and his wife, Val; stepson, Jay Coon and his wife, Kathy; stepdaughters, Jamie Jones and her husband, Scott, and Roni Holland; granddaughter, Sabre Edwards; mother, Gwen Edwards; brothers, Butch Edwards and Kelly Edwards; and extended family including aunts, uncles and cousins.
