James "Jim" Madison Luttrell, 77, passed away on May 3, 2018. Memorial service: 12:00 PM Thursday in the Chapel of Williams and Lucas Funeral Home in Fort Worth. Inurnment will follow at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Tarrant County Sheriff's Department Honor Guard will serve as pall bearers. Jim was born February 4, 1941 in Fort Worth to John Andrew Luttrell, Jr. and Fay Renshaw Luttrell. He graduated from Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School, the graduate school of Banking at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, and from Dallas Baptist University. Jim served in the U.S. Army for 3 years from 1960-1963 in the 17th Signal Battalion. Following his military service, he was vice president of Fort Worth National Bank from 1964-1982, manager of automated customer services. He retired from the Tarrant County Sheriff's Department in 2010 where he served as an Investigator, Master Peace Officer, academy instructor, as well as in the personnel section of the Sheriff's Department for several years. Jim was a member of Julian Field Masonic Lodge, the York Rite Bodies and Moslah Shrine Temple, active member of Moslah Provost, 12 -year secretary Watauga Charter Review Committee, former director and 14 year coach for Richland Youth Association football and baseball programs, and founding member and former 1st Vice President of the Watauga Lions Club. Survivors: Wife, Karin U. Luttrell; sons, John Albert Luttrell and Scott Allen Luttrell and wife Yvette; grandsons, Stephen, Connor (Acacia), and Ryker (Jasmine); granddaughter, Jordan; great-grandson, Richard Garcia III; sisters, Joy Tubbs and family and Peggy Martindale and family; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members in Texas and Germany.
