GRANBURY -- James Cecil Mull, 88, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Riverside Baptist Church. Private entombment will follow in Bluebonnet Hills Mausoleum. Visitation:-3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials: Should friends desire, memorials are requested to Riverside Baptist Church. Cecil, a native of Etowah, Tenn., was born May 20, 1923, to U.S. and Ella Standridge Mull. He served with a B-17 bomber crew in the Army Air Corps during World War II. A lifelong sportsman, he enjoyed softball, golf and boating. He is in the Texas Senior Slowpitch Softball Hall of Fame. He retired from General Foods-Kraft. Cecil had a great faith in his Lord and served as a deacon in the Baptist Church for 54 years. In addition to his parents and eight siblings, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann, on July 4 of this year. Survivors: He is survived by his children, Jim Mull and wife, Nancy, Sharon Reynolds; grandchildren,Taylor Reynolds, Jeff Mull and wife, Jennifer, Amy Mull; great-grandchildren, Ryann Mull, Reagan Mull.
