MANSFIELD -- James Michael Powers, 66, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Mike was born Feb. 20, 1944, in Dallas and was raised in Wyoming until graduating from high school. He resided in Mansfield with his wife, Sherryl Powers. He owned a small business in Arlington, enjoyed classic cars and loved his church and family. Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Sherryl Powers; children, Kelly Powers, Dave Powers, Stephanie Jameson and husband, Jon; stepsons, Carey Cannon and wife, Dana, Chris Cannon and wife, Cristi, Colby Cannon and wife, Sharon; and grandchildren, Mallory, Preston, Hunter, Cole, Jeff, Abby, Catherine and Clint.
