NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Jean Jennings Newman, 88, passed away Friday, Sept. 23, 2011.  A native of Whitney, Jean was born July 7, 1923, to James W. and Maud Barton Jennings. She retired from Bell Helicopter as an executive assistant after more than 30 years service. She was preceded in death by her husband former North Richland Hills mayor, Thomas Edwin Newman.  Survivors: Sons, Thomas Edwin Newman and wife, Jaye, James J. Newman and wife, Terry, William G. Newman and wife, Elena; grandchildren, Scott Newman, Alex Shalom, Seth Alan Newman, Trey Newman, Elizabeth Jean Barnes, Clayton Thomas Newman, Tori Nicole Jobe, Blake Aaron Anderson, Lacy Lineweaver, Holly Morris, Josh Terry; great-grandchildren, Cooper Barnes, Nadia and Gabriel Anderson, Alex, Joshua, Kaitlynn and Michael Morris, Madison and Ella Terry; niece, Georgene Dorland; sister-in-law, Allene Jennings.
