KENNEDALE -- Jesse "Skeet" Barto Rhodes, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 6, 2010. Funeral: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Blessing Funeral Home. Jesse was born March 22, 1941, and had lived in the Kennedale-Mansfield area all his life. He retired from Tarrant County in 1999 after 16 years of service. He then went back to doing what he loved -- trading cattle. Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Lynnie Rhodes. Survivors; Sons, Royce and wife, Terri, of Alvarado and Raymond and wife, Linda, of Kennedale; grandchildren, Jessica Gray, April Walker, Jerried Rhodes, Claude Rhodes and Joseph Rhodes; sister, Vera Martin of Grandview; brother, Virgil Rhodes and wife, Hellen, of Joshua; and several nieces and nephews.
