Jewel Bretel

Jewel Bretel, 91, died August 11, 2007. Jewel F. Drew Bretel was born in Dallas, Texas on September 5, 1915. Her parents were Charles Oren and Orpha Inez Elder Drew. Jewel, the oldest of four, outlived all of her siblings and saw many life long friends pass away. Family and friends was what Jewel valued most. Jewel cherished all the moments she had with them. She graduated from Sunset High School in 1934. She was employed at North American Aviation during WWII for 3 years. Jewel retired from Reserve Life Insurance after 30 years of service. She enjoyed shopping, crossword puzzles, Johnny Carson, the Dallas Cowboys, and mostly time with her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Janice Hall and her husband Lisle; two grandsons: Greg Prater and his wife Shannon and Jeff Prater, and three great grandchildren: Wesley Prater, Whitney Prater, and Winter Prater.
