FORT WORTH -- Jewel D. Crane, 87, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011. Service: 10 a.m. Saturday at Lakeside Church of God, 9396 Confederate Park Road, Fort Worth. Interment: 3 p.m. Saturday in Mount Sterling Cemetery in Mount Sterling. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Calvario Funeral Chapel (formerly Shannon North). Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, North Central Texas Chapter, 2630 West Freeway, Suite 100, Fort Worth, Texas 76102. Jewel was born Feb. 13, 1924, in Franklin County to George and Corinna Lee Johnson Hoover. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School and attended Church of God Bible Training School in Sevierville, Tenn. She married Loyd Edward Crane on Oct. 2, 1943. They were married for 54 years until his death Dec. 6, 1997. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Caroline Kay Crane; granddaughter, Stephanie Renee Attaway; and grandson, Kenneth Ray Crane. Survivors: Sons, Don and wife, Joy Crane, Ralph and wife, Patricia, and Travis Crane; daughter, Jeanette and husband, Brad Attaway; grandchildren, Faith and husband, Richard Slusher, Brad and wife, Brandy Crane, Todd Crane and Bradley Attaway; and great-grandchildren, Brandon, Brooke, Destiny and Jeremy.
