KELLER -- Jim R. Boothe, 70, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 26, 2012. Celebration of life: 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, First Baptist Church of Keller. Interment: Private. Memorials: As a way of honoring what he loved, in lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Rocky Top Therapy Center, 660 Keller Smithfield Road, Keller, Texas 76244. Born in Ballinger, he graduated from New Deal High School. He enrolled in Texas Tech University, but left to serve with the Army. He always spoke fondly of his time spent as a chaplain's assistant in Germany. After he completed his time with the service, he began his career as a bank examiner. He settled in Irving where he met Sue Alice Willett who became his wife. Two years later, their daughter, D'Ann joined them. Later, he began a new career as a bank vice president.
