Jo Ann Blakeley, wife of 60 years to husband, Paul; mother to sons, Michael and David; and grandmother to five grandchildren, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012, after a lengthy illness. She has gone home to be free of pain and dwell in the house of the Lord. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Lucas Funeral Home, 137 E. Hill St., Keller, Kory Knott of Argyle United Methodist Church officiating. Interment: Medlin Cemetery, Trophy Club. Visitation: The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Lucas Funeral Home Chapel. Memorials: Friends who desire are respectfully invited to honor Jo Ann's memory with contributions in her name to Community Hospice of Texas or Keller Masonic Lodge #1084. Jo Ann was born March 8, 1931, in Fort Worth to Edgar and Dixie Durkey Ethridge. She grew up and had lived in Keller many years. She was a sweetheart of Beta Sigma Phi. Jo Ann was librarian for many years in the Lewisville Independent School District. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Community Hospice for the loving, kind and efficient care of Jo Ann. In addition to her parents, Jo Ann was preceded in death by several siblings. Survivors: Husband, Paul Blakeley; sons, Michael Blakeley and David Blakeley and wife, Shannon; grandchildren, Preston, Carson, Tarah, Duran and Cameron; brothers, James Lowell Ethridge and Bobby Ethridge; and extended family.
