NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Jo Shannon Baldwin Hopson passed away Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, in Fort Worth. Memorial service: 1 p.m. Saturday at Handley United Methodist Church, 2929 Forest, Fort Worth. Officiating will be Dr. Gus Guthrie, Dr. Thomas Q. Robbins and the Rev. Frank Briggs. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road in Hurst. Memorials: May be made to Handley United Methodist Church or a charity of choice. Jo Shannon was born Nov. 17, 1959, in Fort Worth to Ann and Oris Baldwin. She graduated from Richland High School in 1978 and Texas Wesleyan College in 1982. She was a former Miss Fort Worth and hosted "About Town," a local cable talk show. She was a songwriter for Kids Who Care, but her greatest accomplishment was her God-given talent of voice and her contagious laughter. Survivors: Her parents; husband, Troy; brother, Bart; sister, Tracye Baldwin McNulty and her husband, Brad; and nieces, Erin, Kendall, Kelsey and Sloan.
