GRANBURY -- Joe C. Brown Jr. passed away Sunday, April 18, 2010. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church of Granbury, 301 Loop 567. Joe was born July 9, 1941, in Alvin. He was a man of many talents in business and play. His quick wit and crooked smile was his trademark. He was a leader in business, retiring as president of Armadillo Express, a company of more than 500 employees throughout the western United States. He was proud of every worker, and many followed him from business to business. He was proud of his service to our country as a member of the U.S. Air Force. He was a rancher and like to play hard. He enjoyed the outdoors of the Rockies, being a scuba instructor and a big-time Cowboys fan. Survivors: His wife of 51 years, Pamela; his children, Russell Brown and his wife, Brigitta, and Jennifer Rose; grandchildren, Rusty Brown, Kelsey Brown and her husband, Jason, Cory Rose and Keller Brown; great-grandchild, Joseph Michael Brown, who was born April 15; sister, Annell Sizemore; and many other relatives and friends.
