FORT WORTH -- Joe Bernal Ruiz, 72, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011, surrounded by his family.        Graveside service: 10:30 a.m. Friday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 1 to 8 p.m Thursday at Calvario Funeral Chapel (formerly Shannon North), with rosary at 7 p.m.        Joe was born May 27, 1938, in Rosebud to Felipe and Luisa Bernal Ruiz. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Joe was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Elvira Vasquez.        Survivors: Wife of 44 years, Elena; sons, Joe Ruiz Jr., Phillip Ruiz and Ricky Ruiz; daughters, Veronica Ortega and husband, Michael, and Sandra Martinez and husband, Raymond; brother, Monico Ruiz; sister, Janie Ramirez and family; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
