John Fabian

COPPELL -- John Francis Fabian, III (Jack), born in New Britain, CT, passed away peacefully at the age of 86 while recovering from surgery. He was the son of John F. Fabian, Jr. and Gladys Ronalter Fabian also of New Britain. He leaves behind his loving wife of 62 years, Irene, his children John Fabian IV and wife Pamela of New Jersey, LuAnne Stone and husband Ray of Connecticut Suellyn Martin and husband Jerry of Texas, and Robert Fabian of Texas, as well as six grandchildren and five step-grandchildren. Jack's family was his life and he was a devoted, loving husband and father. He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Central Connecticut State College and his Master's Degree from University of Rhode Island. He was a retired teacher of 35 years; an active member of his church at Christus St. Joseph Village in Texas and was an altar boy when he was young. He was a WWII veteran and a long standing Benevolent Patron of the Elks. He had a terrific sense of humor and especially enjoyed a polka with his wife, traveling, reading, clamming, fishing, the outdoors, family pets, a good martini and his many friends. He loved his Texas home and had a special affinity for Cape Cod. His favorite expression was "Keep the Faith". We will all miss him terribly, his smile, wit, laughter and love. There will be a Memorial Mass & Celebration held in his honor at Christus St. Joseph Village Chapel, 1201 E. Sandy Lake Road, Coppell, Texas 75019 on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jack's honor to The Christus St. Joseph Village Chapel Fund.
