John Johnson

BEDFORD -- John Alan Johnson of Bedford, beloved husband, son, grandson and friend, passed away Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011.        Memorial service: 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst.        John was born July 18, 1971, in Fort Worth to W. Alan and Carroll Johnson. He graduated from Grapevine High School and loved summers at Caddo Lake when he was a kid. John and the love of his life, Terri, enjoyed Texas hold 'em poker games with friends, their beloved dog, Ace, and traveling. Two of his favorite trips were to Maine to see the fall foliage with Terri, his parents and his pup, Ace, and Las Vegas, where John proposed. For the past 13 years, he was a valued and hard-working employee with Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport's water department.        John was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Peggy Johnson and Dorthey Craig; grandfather, Charles D. Craig; and his identical twin brother, Wendell Keith Johnson.        John will be remembered for his devotion to Terri and his parents, his loyalty to friends, and his wicked sense of humor.        Survivors: Wife, Terri Hancock; parents, W. Alan and Carroll Johnson; grandfather, John Everett Johnson; aunts, uncles and cousins; and his dog, Ace.
