HALTOM CITY -- John Robert Reisch, 57, retired chief investigator for the Pierce County, Wash., Medical Examiner's Office, died Monday, March 24, 2008, at a North Richland Hills hospital. Service: A memorial mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 3, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2016 Willis Lane, Keller, with rosary at 10:30 a.m. John was born Jan. 25, 1951, in Longview, Wash., to Elodie and Martin Reisch. He was a graduate of Richland High School and attended Tarleton State University. After serving as a police officer for the cities of Watauga and Keller and sheriff in the Denton County area, he continued his career as an investigator in the medical examiner's office in Tacoma. He served in this office for 18 years until he received a medical retirement. John was a naturalist, loved animals and all things outdoors. He was a member of several ecological organizations and was an avid photographer. Survivors: His parents; his wife, Leigh; brothers, Norman and wife, Pat, of Colorado, Jim and wife, Sandy, of Dallas and Bill and wife, Betty, of Bedford; sisters, Mary and husband, Don McCall, of Mansfield, Donna Trujillo of Fort Worth and Annette and husband, Frank Kearns, of Bedford; and nieces and nephews, Ron, Randy, Tim, Jon, Danny, Kit, Amy, Angie, Jimmy, Tricia, Teresa and Kristina.
