KELLER -- John Campbell Rogers, 62, passed away Monday, Dec. 6, 2010. Service: 10 a.m. Thursday at Lucas Funeral Home, 137 E. Hill St., Keller, with the Rev. Dwaine Greene officiating. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lucas Keller Funeral Home. Memorials: Friends who desire are respectfully invited to honor John's memory with gifts in his name to the Boy Scouts of America. John was born Aug. 13, 1948, in Artesia, N.M., to John Norman and Lavina Campbell Rogers. John was a Silver Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts. He was a Ranger with Philmont Boy Scout Ranch at Scout Ranch, N.M. He coached hockey for teenagers for many years, including his daughter, Mary. He took teams to tournaments all over the country. John was a business owner of Simprint, a printing firm. He loved his family and enjoyed traveling. Survivors: Wife of 23 years, Linda Rogers; sons, John Norman Rogers and wife, Morgan, Robert Lawrence Rogers and Jeremiah Campbell Rogers; daughters, Mary Brearley and husband, Kevin; grandchildren, John Logan Rogers and Lillian Ellen Brearley; brother, Robert Richard Rogers and wife, Caroline Byrd; sister, Norma Jean Choate and husband, James; mother, Lavina Ellen Rogers; and extended family.
