ARLINGTON -- Johnnie Lee Moran Jr., 63, passed away Friday, Nov. 5, 2010. Memorial service: 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at Lucas Keller Funeral Home Chapel, 137 East Hill St., Keller. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the memorial service at Lucas Keller Funeral Home. Johnnie was born Jan. 30, 1947, in San Jacinto to Johnnie Lee Moran Sr. and Frances Marie Mayo Moran. Johnnie graduated from Keller High School in 1967 and was an accomplished member of the football and track teams. He enjoyed spending time with brothers, sisters, kids and grandkids. He coached football, softball and baseball for his kids. He was generous, trusting and loyal. He was quiet but not shy and loved to joke around. His hobbies included fishing, card games, photography, science fiction and the Dallas Cowboys. Johnnie was preceded in death by his wife, Raynell Moran, Nov. 11, 2006. Survivors: Sons, Trey Moran and wife, Lonnie, and Eddie Moran and wife, Angela; daughter, Sheri Redman and husband, Frank; grandchildren, Corban Redman, Megan Redman, Alex Moran, Rob Johnston and Eric Johnston; brothers, Steve Moran and wife, Lavon, and Robert Moran and wife, Sandy; sisters, Carol Ivey, Maryetta Broyles and husband, Steve; sister-in-law, Sherry Turner and husband, David; nieces; nephews; and extended family.
