Johnnie Tapp,

Johnnie Lee Tapp Sr., 80, of Arlington, Texas, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2011. Johnnie was born August 13, 1930, in Italy, Texas, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Tapp. He graduated from Italy High School. Mr. Tapp married Rena Chambers on June 3, 1949, in Italy. They had four children and were residents of Arlington, Texas for 54 years. He retired from Menasco Manufacturing as a machinist. Johnnie was a master Mason. Survivors include his Wife of 61 years, Rena Tapp; children, Johnnie Tapp Jr. and wife, Judy, Sidney Tapp and wife, Kristie, and Vicki Markham and husband, Mike; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and siblings by love, Cecil Chambers and wife, Bobbie Lou, Hubert Chambers and wife, Hulane, J.W. Chambers and wife, Gail, and Nancy Ayers. Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and son, Gary Tapp. Memorials: Charity of choice.
