Johnnye Ballard

Johnnye M. "Granny" Ballard , 72, a retired accountant, died Monday, January 22, 2007 in Fort Worth. Johnnye was born May 3, 1934, in Dallas, the daughter of Morton E. and Ina Belle Tims Torbert. She married Adrian Ballard, June 28, 1952. She accepted Christ as her Savior when she was eight years old. He has been her faithful friend all these years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Mansfield. Johnnye was preceded in death by her husband of 50 yrs., Adrian Ballard, parents, Morton and Ina Torbert, sister, Mary Clark, and granddaughter, Lacy Bivens. Survivors: Daughter, Penny Bivens, and husband Lynn; sons, Michael Ballard, and wife, Misty, Steven Ballard, and wife, Michelene; grandchildren, Shawn Ballard, and wife, Christi, Mikayla Ballard, Jason Ballard, and wife, Kristen, Jeff Ballard, and wife Deasha, Paige Bivens, and Cory Bivens; great-grandchildren, Emma, Justin, Carley-Beth, Walker, and Lucy Ballard, Kaden Vasseur; sisters, Norma Hays, Martha Ladd, and husband, Royce, Dortha Wood, Blanche McKelvey, and husband, Carl; brother-in-law, Vaughn Ballard, and wife, Martha Jo; and several nieces and nephews.
