BEDFORD -- Joseph E. Farwell passed away quietly, at a local hospital, on Saturday morning, Nov. 17, 2012. Service: A private service will be held at a later date in California. Joe was born in American Falls, Idaho, on May 10, 1936, to Ezra and Rolla Farwell. He was raised in Santa Paula, Calif., and spent his youth and young adulthood there. Joe then joined the Air Force after high school in September 1954 and after training at Parks Air Force Base in California he spent some time overseas. He worked for more than 30 years at aerospace for Northrop/Boeing and McDonnell Douglas, Boeing before retiring in 1993. In retirement Joe and his wife Nancy moved to San Angelo, then on to Bedford in 1995. He was an avid golfer and played daily, if at all possible, with his "Regular Group of Friends" at Rolling Hills Country CLub in Arlington. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and his "Little Sister," Lois. Survivors: Nancy, his wife of 43 years; sister, Hazel Clymer of Ventura, Calif.; daughter, JoAnne Sander of McLoud, Okla.; grandson, Jarad Farwell of Tulsa, Okla.; and great-grandchildren, Zachery, Nicole and McKenzie.
