Joseph Maier

Joseph Ludwig Maier, 97, of Pilot Point, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2009 in Sherman, TX. He was born on May 7, 1911 in Tioga to Joseph Ludwig and Annie (Heumann) Maier. He married Mary Ann Dankesreiter on May 15, 1941. He was a farmer and was retired from L.E. David Construction in Pilot Point. He was a devout member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Pilot Point before moving to Sherman. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Maier; two daughters, Rosa Hancock and Anna Nelson, both of Sherman; four grandchildren James and Stephen Hancock and Joseph and Julie Nelson; and two great-grandchildren.
