FORT WORTH -- Joseph Paul Minonno, 89, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008. Funeral: Joseph will be laid to rest in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with military honors. He was the son of the late Antonio and Frances Minonno, who became American citizens after arriving in the United States through Ellis Island. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor, stationed at Hickam Field on December 7, 1941. He served as an aerial crew chief and gunner on B-17s. Joseph saw action in the New Hebrides Group and at Guadalcanal. Upon his return he joined Bell Helicopter in Buffalo, N.Y., and transferred to Fort Worth in 1949 to work for Bell at the Globe plant then the Hurst plant.
