SPRINGTOWN -- Joe W. Rhoades, 90, a retired osteopathic doctor, died peacefully Monday morning, Dec. 18, 2006, at his ranch. Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel at Robertson Mueller Harper. The Rev. Lawrence M. Hammond will officiate. Burial: following military honors, Joe will be laid to rest next to his wife, Helen, in Greenwood Memorial Park. Bearers of his casket will be Tyler Wilkerson, John Paul Weaver, Marcus Weaver, Matt Enzler, Ryan Dunlap, Carson Dunlap, Jimmy Bowen, Dr. Steve Brown, Jerry Carr, John Driver and Junior Kolar. Visitation: Dr. Rhoades will lie in state on Wednesday in the Parlor at Robertson Mueller Harper; his family will receive friends in the Great Room from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials: Consideration of contributions to the Salvation Army or to the American Heart Fund in memory of Joe is suggested.
