Joyce Barnes

Joyce Louise Barnes, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010 in her home. Joyce was born and raised in Port Lavaca, Texas and graduated from Calhoun High School. She had moved to Fort Worth upon retirement to be near family. Joyce was born Sept. 29, 1939 to the late Jerry and Mattie Sue Boyd Nicks. Joyce was the beloved wife of W.D. Barnes for 52 years; She will forever be remembered by her devoted children, Darlene Jennings and husband, Horace, Kenneth Barnes and Scottie Barnes; treasured grandchildren Brandilyn McElvain, Dallas Cooper, Jordan Haith, Madison Jennings, Ryan, Dylan, Clinton and Zoe Barnes and, Mattie and Kaitlyn Barnes; 4 precious great-grandchildren; along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know her. She touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and her ability to never meet a stranger.
