Joyce Ann Sharp

HURST -- Joyce Ann Sharp, 86, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at a care center in Bedford. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Joyce was born May 13, 1927, in Arizona to Elmer and Bertha Thompson. She lived most of her life in Texas, and she was a dental hygienist for many years in the Mid-Cities area. Joyce was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Hurst. She was a loving inspiration to her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Jim Sharp. Survivors: Children: Jimmy Sharp, Mary Wirth and husband, James, and John Sharp and wife, Liba; granddaughters, Emily Modlin and husband, Cole, Rachel Lewis and husband, Schuyler, Naomi Sharp and Avigayl Sharp; and great-granddaughter, Shiloh.
