BEDFORD -- Julien Baptiste Adoue III passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 24, 2013. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. J.B. was born in Houston on Nov. 17, 1936, to Julien Baptiste Adoue Jr. and Marion Ross Adoue. He attended Sewanee Military Academy, graduated from Sam Houston University, and served in the U.S. Army. He was president of A Manufacturing Company and worked as a business consultant in his later years. J.B. was a strong force of nature, had a larger than life personality, and possessed a unique sense of humor and a contagious smile. He loved all God's creatures, saw the good in everyone, was happiest when helping others, and treated everyone with the same respect, no matter their station in life. He was an innovative thinker, had a photographic memory, was intrigued with everything mechanical, was an accomplished pool player, had a fondness for jumpsuits (to most everyone's dismay), and absolutely loved butter. J.B.'s spirit will live on through our shared memories and laughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Greg Adoue. Survivors: His beloved wife of 42 years, Laura Adoue; sons, Jayson and Calvin from previous marriages; and three grandchildren.
