Kenneth Forehand

Kenneth was born Dec. 21, 1914, in Mountain Park, Okla. He grew up in Brady. He married Dorothy Mertis Caffey in November 1939. He graduated from Howard Payne University in 1949 and earned his master's degree from Texas Wesleyan University in 1958.        He was a public school teacher at Village Creek Elementary almost his entire career. During that period he was also pastor of Belmont Heights Baptist Church on Davis Avenue from 1960 to 1964. For the remainder of his life he was a member of Sagamore Hill Baptist Church. He lived in the Poly area and moved to Handley in 1968.        He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Caffey Forehand, in 1996.        Survivors: Son, Ferrell Forehand; grandchildren, Holly Lerner, Heather Zechiel and Xan Forehand; great-grandchildren, Sarah Zechiel, L.W. Zechiel, Myla Lerner, Kate Lerner, Noah Zechiel, Emma Lerner and Jake Lerner.
