Kenrick McKinley Ernest

TROPHY CLUB -- Kenrick "Kenny" McKinley Ernest passed away at home surrounded by loving family on Saturday, April 13, 2013. Funeral Mass: 12:30pm Tuesday later at St. Michael Catholic Church, 3713 Harwood Road in Bedford, a cremation will follow. Visitation: 6-8pm at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller. Kenny was born in Curacao and lived in Saint Lucia, before moving to New York City as a teenager. It is here that he met and married his wife, Vicki. They celebrated their 35th anniversary on March 8, 2013. Kenny was an avid tennis player and played with the same group of friends well into his illness. He was also an accomplished skier, and he and Vicki loved to ski and travel the world. Kenny never met a stranger, had a generous heart, and enjoyed being the life of the party. We would like to give a special thanks to the staff at the Community Hospice of Texas. Kenny was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Marie Frances "Mummy" Ernest, and father-in-law, Col. Victor Gargiulo. Survivors: His father, Paul; older brother, Carl and his wife, Diana; younger brother, Eugene; and sister, Lydia Anne Thompson and her husband, Mark. He also leaves several nieces and nephews, and one grandnephew. Kenny was also cherished and loved by his wife, Vicki, and her family; stepmother, Bettie Gargiulo; sisters, Suzie Phillips and husband, Don, Amy Wright and husband, Tracy, and Patty Partridge; brother, Chris Gargiulo; dear friend, Lisa Gargiulo; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and many dear friends.
