COLLEYVILLE -- Kiefer Trey William Smith, 18, passed away Wednesday July 13, 2011. Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Monday, at First United Methodist Church Grapevine, in Founders Chapel, 422 Church Street. Visitation: Will be held on Sunday 3-5 p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home in Grapevine. Interment: Bear Creek Cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends following the graveside service at the home of Kevin and Donna Smith. Kiefer was born in Yuba City, CA.. He was the son of Lori Smith of Lewisville, TX and Kevin and Donna Smith of Colleyville, TX. Kiefer graduated from Coppell High School in 2010 where he played varsity baseball, and was a sophmore at Tyler Junior College pursuing a degree in Kinesiology. He had an incredible sense of humor, and loved to bring a smile to others. Kiefer was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Dennis Smith. Survivors: Parents, Lori Smith and Kevin and Donna Smith; brothers, Brad Nelson, Chase Hignight, Brent Hignight, and Trey Hignight; sisters, Jacqueline Smith and Talia Smith; nephew Ayden King; maternal grandparents, Al and Barbara Helwig of Yuba City, CA, paternal grandmother Kathy Smith of Sacramento, CA.; as well as many loving aunts, uncles and cousins, and a host of friends.
