Kirk Yoder

Kirk Bradley Yoder, 48, of Arlington, Texas, passed away of heart disease at his home on March 31, 2011. Kirk was born March 30, 1963, to Donald and Barbara Yoder in Peoria, Illinois. He moved to Texas after his senior year at Richwoods High School in Peoria, Illinois. Kirk married the love of his life Juliann on December 11, 1987. Kirk and Juli had two boys, Reese Bradley, age 11, and Zachary Ethan, age 8. Kirk worked in the construction and building profession throughout his career. He was an electrician and creator of many, many places and things throughout Texas, Arkansas and Illinois. He loved to work with his hands and could make or fix anything placed in front of him. He and his sons worked together on many projects. He enjoyed being outside, but his favorite time was on the water fishing and boating with the boys. Kirk was always the life of every party with his laughter and emphasis on having fun. Everyone who knew him says that he was a "big kid" with an even bigger, joyous heart. Kirk was an outstanding, nurturing father, who always spent lots of time with his boys. He was a Christian man who took his family to church regularly and taught them the Word of God. Kirk attended Pure Love Ministries Church. Survivors: Kirk is survived by Juli; sons, Reese and Zac; mother Barbara Payne of Washington, Illinois; father Don Yoder as well as his stepmother Bobbie Yoder of Morton, Illinois; two sisters Angie Kemp (and Chris) of Bloomington and Andrea Eddy (and Jim) of Washington, Illinois; and by many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly for his fun and loving personality. Memorials: The family request that memorial donations be made to Juli Yoder for a trust fund to be set up for Reese and Zachary Yoder.
