MANSFIELD -- Lee Roy Wylie, 87, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2010, in Mansfield. Service: 11 a.m. Saturday at Blessing Colonial Chapel in Mansfield. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will be conducted in Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas. Lee was born Feb. 6, 1923, in Mexia to Frank and Fern Moye Wylie. He entered the Army Air Corps in 1942, during World War ll, and retired as a master sergeant in 1983. He later served as an aircraft inspector for the Civil Service. He was a 32nd degree Mason and was a member of Deer Creek Lodge #501. He served as municipal court judge in Mansfield and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mansfield. Following retirement, Lee helped longtime friends build and fly airplanes, and raised cattle, hay, and farmed part time. Lee was preceded in death by siblings, Frances, Irby and Bill. Survivors: Devoted wife of 53 years, Frances Norine Wylie; sister-in-law, Freddie Curtis; goddaughter, Carolyn Noonan and husband, J.P.; and many friends, nieces and nephews.
