Leroy F. Brown

HURST -- Leroy Brown, a sweet kind gentle giant of a man, went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ at age 76 on Tuesday, December 23, 2014. He suffered a stroke on September 21, 2014 and never recovered. He spent these last several months at Heartland in Bedford. Bless each of you that took such tender loving care of him. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, December 29, 2014 at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Rd, Hurst. Leroy was born in Springfield, MO, but lived in Texas for many years. He attended Homefront Church (formerly New Beginnings) in Arlington, Pastor Keith Watson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles D. Brown and Marietta Krasser, MO; Uncle Loren & Aunt Gale Brown, CA; and Barbara Ellen-Sister, MO. Leroy is survived by his loving wife Kay; stepdaughter, Deana (Lee) Smith; son, Doug (Jo Beth) Brown, and granddaughters, Shelby & Ella of O'fallon, MO; son, Allen (Ann Marie) Brown, and granddaughters, Amy & Audrey of Pearland; son, Mark Brown (Tina Bunge) and grandson, Michael Springfield, MO; sister Sharon (Lee) Gott & family of Springfield, MO; and all his special friends at the Stagecoach and the Dallas Push Club.
