MANSFIELD -- Linda Susan Simmons, 59, peacefully passed onto the next life Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, due to a cerebral hemorrhage. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield. Interment Mansfield Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. She was born Aug. 11, 1950, in Fort Worth. She graduated from Mansfield High School in 1968 and attended Tarrant County College. Linda worked at Spartech Plastics for 25 years as a customer service supervisor. Linda was admired, respected and loved by her colleagues and her customers. Linda will be primarily remembered for her love and devotion to her children and her husband. She was a quiet, unassuming person who worked behind the scenes; she was a doer and a go-getter. She always got the job done, no matter whether it was business or personal. She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Ervin, of Arkansas. Survivors: Husband, Wayne Simmons; children, Wendy Miller and spouse, Ray, and Jason Simmons and spouse, Mendy; grandchildren, Ashley Miller and Caleb Simmons; parents, Earl and Dora Lee Ervin of Mansfield; sister, Connie Givens of Dallas; sister-in-law, Margaret Ervin of Arkansas; mother-in-law, Peggy Simmons of Fort Worth; and many nieces and nephews and extended family members who loved her dearly.
